This past Sunday, the other 30 teams in NLF kicked off the 2009 season. Philadelphia Eagles picked by many to be a Super Bowl contender, suffered a major blow. Franchise QB Donovan McNabb was injuried in the 3rd Qtr in season opener against Carolina Panthers. McNabb ran in from 3 yards for a touchdown that put the Eagles up by 28 points. After he crossed the plain a player of Panther fell on him after the play. Resulting in him to having a cracked rib. With McNabb's reaction you knew it was serious. McNabb being injuried is nothing new. He has being injury prone for the past couple of seasons. Last season he played the full 16 games for the first time in four seasons. Now the drama begins. Kevin Kolb is the back up, but has not proved anything. Michael Vick will be back Week 3 from suspension. Monday the Eagles signed Jeff Garcia a former Eagles fan favorite. McNabb has had a hard time being embracced from the Philly fans since he was drafted by them. It is only a matter of time untill McNabb is having a bad game, the fan will be calling for to a seat to one of the other 3 QBs.
